Finally, I purchased Pocket PC 2003 device (iPAQ h1937), and found that
sub menus had been slid to the right, so that, a sub-sub menu
pops up to the left of its parent menu because no space are left on the right.
I was afraid that this might
spoil the convenience of
SmallMenu/SmallMenuPlus,
so that, I added a
menu related systemwide settings tab to SmallMenu Settings dialog.
By the way, please note that 0 of 3.10 could not be suppressed.
3.10 means "three point ten" which is the next minor update of 3.9.

Recently, I purchased a Pocket PC 2003 device and I found a problem
with
PocketNotepad
in journal function. The problem was caused by
a behavior difference between Windows CE 3.0 and CE.NET 4.2.
Currently, I found another Pocket PC 2003 compatibility problem
in PocketTweak. I will release a fix for PocketTweak shortly.

I believe all of Tillanosoft's Pocket PC software work fine without any problem
on Pocket PC 2003. I do not think the change of the core operating
system does not affect the behavior of Tillanosoft software.
Currently, I have not received any problem report regarding Pocket PC
2003 compatibility. I will purchase the device in the near future
and will confirm the compatibility by myself.

that ActiveSync 3.7 problem may occur also in installing
tGetFile.dll,
I confirmed that the problem does not exist with tGetFile.dll 3.0.
I also confirmed its INF source file to find out
a work around had been taken for
tGetFile.dll cab files already.
I believe all newest versions of Tillanosoft software are compatible with
ActiveSync 3.7, and you will not encounter the problem in installing
any of them.

Alas! I encountered ActiveSync 3.7 problem also with

H/PC version of PocketNotepad was chosen for Pocket PC devices.
I fixed the problem with this version.
I guess the same problem may occur in installing
SpaceFinder/SpaceFinderPlus,

Start button problem with iPAQ 3955, installation problem with
ActiveSync 3.7 and so on have been fixed with
SmallMenu/SmallMenuPlus and ProgramMenu/ProgramMenuPlus.
Several other problems have been fixed for the programs, and
"Charging" icon has been added to SmallMenu.
By the way, installing SmallMenuPlus or ProgramMenuPlus on a storage
card is not recommended. In the case you installed one of them on a
storage card, I recommend you to uninstall it from the storage card
and to install again on built-in RAM.
ActiveSync 3.7 seems to prevent
SmallMenu

I received several reports which stated that
SmallMenu
could not show
battery monitor icon on Pocket PC 2002 devices.
It seems to me that ActiveSync 3.7 is the cause of the problem.
With ActiveSync 3.7 installed, an appropriate cab file for Pocket PC
2002,
that is, smenu.2002.cab could not be chosen for installation.
I am now investigating the problem but, please work around this
problem
by copying smenu.2002.cab onto your Pocket PC 2002 device to tap the
file to install SmallMenu properly.

Coexistence problem of

3.6, that is, they could not raise their menu when they were executed and

Still, there remained another problem.
I received plural problem reports from iPAQ 3955 users
which stated that
default start button looks weird or blank.
I think their problems are identical.
I am now investigating this problem,
and will release a fix as soon as possible.

I reproduced the problem.
The similar problem may exist with ProgramMenuPlus 3.6.

The author might have been always a little bit nervous about the remaining
power of the system battery simply because author's devices has rather
small battery capacity.
So the author added a feature to display a battery monitor icon in
the Notification area of the Navigation bar of Pocket PC 2002, to
SmallMenu/SmallMenuPlus.
Although there remains a small problem that the icon may sometimes be moved to
so called Notification Tray when the other notification icons appear
(this means, on the other hand,
the Battery Monitor icon is fully compatible with other
system Notification icons, so that, it will never hide other icons),
the author believes the Battery Monitor icon is really useful and hopes
everybody to try the option!
